Eat Yourself Pregnant

Explore the full Zita West range, including fertility supplements, pregnancy support, postnatal vitamins and expert-formulated nutrition for men and women. Each product is designed to support your body at every stage, from preconception and IVF preparation to pregnancy, postnatal recovery and breastfeeding
The most important starting point is your journey stage. Nutritional needs change significantly depending on whether you are trying to conceive, going through fertility treatment, pregnant, or in the postnatal period, so the right supplement for one stage may not be the most appropriate for another.
As a general guide:
* Trying to conceive (women): Vitafem is the core preconception multivitamin, formulated with nutrients including active Methylfolate, B6, B12, Zinc and Selenium to support egg health and hormonal balance.
* Trying to conceive (men): Vitamen provides the key micronutrients most relevant to sperm health, including Zinc, Selenium and antioxidant support.
* IVF or fertility treatment: The IVF and fertility treatment range includes additional targeted support for both women and men preparing for assisted conception.
* Pregnancy (trimester by trimester): The Vital Essence range is formulated to meet the changing nutritional demands of each trimester.
* Postnatal: Dedicated postnatal supplements support recovery and, where relevant, breastfeeding such as Revital Essence.
If you are unsure where to start, our free 1:1 product consultation with a fertility nutrition expert can help you build a personalised protocol.
Most standard multivitamins are formulated for general health maintenance. Zita West supplements are designed specifically around the physiological demands of fertility, pregnancy and the postnatal period, and the formulation choices reflect that.
A few things worth understanding:
* Active, bioavailable forms of key nutrients. Such as Methylfolate (via Quatrefolic®) rather than synthetic folic acid. Methylfolate is the active form the body can use directly. Or CoQ10, where we use Kaneka Ubiquinol, the reduced, active form of CoQ10 produced by Kaneka Corporation in Japan. Ubiquinol does not need to be converted by the body before it can be used, which is particularly relevant where energy demands are high, such as during egg development or IVF stimulation.
* Clinically relevant dosages. Nutrients are included at levels chosen to support the specific demands of the reproductive stage, not simply to meet minimum recommended daily allowances, which are set to prevent deficiency rather than to optimise health.
* Third-party tested. Each batch is independently tested, and batch certificates are published on the relevant product pages so you can verify quality directly.
The range was developed alongside clinical practice in a leading IVF setting, which shapes both the ingredient selection and the dosage rationale.
Both approaches are valid. The right choice depends on where you are in your journey and what level of support you need.
Packs bundle the supplements most commonly recommended for a specific stage into a single, discounted purchase. They are a straightforward way to cover the foundational nutrients without having to build a protocol from scratch. For example, the Female Foundation Fertility Support Pack and the Couples Foundation Fertility Support Pack are designed for those just starting out. We also have support packs with all of the supplements we would recommend for those with conditions such as PMOS (formerly PCOS) and Endometriosis.
Individual supplements give you the flexibility to tailor your intake more precisely. This is particularly relevant if you are already taking certain nutrients, have been advised by a clinician to focus on specific areas, or want to add targeted support, such as Kaneka Ubiquinol CoQ10 for egg quality, or Choline alongside a multivitamin.
Most supplements in the range are designed to be stackable, meaning they can be taken alongside one another without duplication. If you want guidance on combining products, our free product consultation service is there to help.
Yes. Most Zita West supplements are available on a monthly subscription, which saves 15% compared to a one-time purchase. Subscriptions are flexible by design:
A subscription makes practical sense for supplements taken consistently over several months, where at least three months is generally recommended to support the egg and sperm development cycle.

This depends on the supplement and what you are hoping to support.
For general nutritional intake and energy, some women notice a difference within four to six weeks. For egg quality specifically, a longer course is needed: egg development (folliculogenesis) takes approximately 90 days, which is why a minimum of three months is recommended before drawing conclusions about the impact of a preconception protocol.
Sperm development follows a similar timeline, a complete sperm cycle takes around 74 days, so the same three-month principle applies for men taking supplements such as Vitamen.
A practical note: supplements work best as part of a consistent routine. Taking them with food helps absorption and reduces the likelihood of any digestive sensitivity. Keeping them in their original packaging (rather than decanting into a pill organiser) also helps protect the product from moisture and oxidation.
Zita West supplements are formulated with nutrients that are appropriate for use during preconception and fertility treatment, and many of the products are specifically designed with IVF in mind.
That said, if you are taking prescribed medication or have been given a specific protocol by your fertility clinic, we always recommend checking with your healthcare practitioner before adding new supplements.
