Vital DHA with Omega 3 for Fertility, Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

£20.50

When embarking on IVF it is key to create the healthiest eggs and sperm possible. Vital DHA contains Omega 3 essential fatty acids (EFAs), plus a small amount of Zinc and has been has been designed to help protect both partners’ DNA from oxidative damage. EFAs are important structural elements in the development of healthy cell membranes and as our bodies don't produce Essential Fatty Acids, we either have to source it from our food or from a supplement.

DHA is an important nutrient for both adults wanting to conceive and the growing foetus once conception has taken place. The cell membrane surrounding the cells in the ovary is important for overall cell development and also for allowing the sperm to penetrate it. Therefore, cell membrane health needs to be supported.DHA supports the cell membrane aiding membrane fluidity and assisting oocyte penetration of the sperm. It also helps protect both partners DNA from oxidative stress and both should consider taking Vital DHA when trying for a baby.

Who is it for?

Vital DHA has been specifically developed to help support men and women during preconception, pregnancy and through to breastfeeding. EFAs are important in the development of healthy cells and body tissue during pregnancy and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), in particular, plays a critical role in the development of a baby’s brain during pregnancy and early infancy.

Babies are completely reliant on the mother's supply of EFAs and so it is important to meet the minimum daily in-take via diet or foods. Especially if you don’t always have 2 portions of oily fish, like salmon, every week. Even if you do, we recommend women in particular should ensure sufficient intake as the baby is completely reliant on the mother’s reserves of Omega 3 during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Vital DHA is ultra-pure and molecularly distilled to ensure that it is free of all known contaminants, including Mercury and does not contain any Vitamin A.

Ingredients

Zinc

Female Fertility: Essential for many of the body’s functions, including normal cell division. Also supports normal cognitive function and the normal metabolism of fatty acids. Zinc deficiency is often found in women with fertility problems
and in long-term users of the contraceptive pill

Male Fertility: Very important for male fertility. Needed to make the outer layer and tail of the sperm. Zinc is lost in the semen, so needs to be replenished regularly

Omega 3

Female Fertility: Helps protect DNA from oxidative damage during preconception as well as to support normal fertility

Male Fertility: Helps protect DNA from oxidative damage during preconception as well as to support healthy sperm production

Pregnancy: Important structural elements in the development of healthy cell membranes and body tissue, as well as playing a critical role in the development of a baby’s brain

Postnatal: Plays a critical role in the development of a baby’s brain – baby is completely reliant on the mother’s reserves during breastfeeding
